You've probably noticed that most of my online activity includes a lot of chatter about Argentium silver. Well, if you're curious about it, and how it differs from traditional sterling silver, here's a great resource:
Argentium silver is strong, hypoallergenic, tarnish resistant (isn't that magical all by itself?), and so easy to work with. It's what I use most in teaching my workshops, and fuses so beautifully with gold. In May, I'm giving a presentation on fusing with Argentium at the 33rd annual Santa Fe Symposium, here in Albuquerque.
Kate Wolf will also be speaking at the Symposium, on the topic of wax carving techniques. There is quite a remarkable lineup of jewelry industry specialists speaking at SFS - be sure to check out the list of speakers. It should be fun and educational. I hope to see some of you there, and in my workshops, learning the magic of Argentium!
